Santa Fe University of Art and Design Governor’s Scholarship
Description
To help "inspire and educate our next generation of actors and artists, painters and public servants," the Office of the Governor of New Mexico selects one new student per year to receive a full-tuition scholarship for eight semesters of study at Santa Fe University of Art and Design.
Award
One (1) New Mexico resident will receive a full tuition scholarship (100% of tuition, fees not included). Award is renewable with the condition that all eligibility requirements continue to be met.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Have been a resident of the state of New Mexico for at least one year immediately preceding the award of the scholarship.
- Have been admitted to their program of interest.
- Meet all General Qualifications for Santa Fe University of Art and Design Scholarships.
- Meet all other criteria and guidelines set forth by the Governor’s office
- Not already be, or have previously been, a Santa Fe University of Art and Design student.
Criteria
- Selection is determined by the Office of the Governor of New Mexico.
Applying
- Documentation of residency verified through prior year tax return, driver’s license, or voter registration card.
Disbursement
- 100% Tuition reduction will be applied at the time of registration for each term.
- All non-tuition based fees remain the responsibility of the student.
- The university must be in receipt of all of the applicant’s official documentation for scholarship funds to be disbursed.
Renewal Conditions
- Recipients must maintain a 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale), a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester, and be continuously enrolled.
- Students must be in good financial standing with no outstanding debt to Santa Fe University of Art and Design
