Making School More Affordable

At Santa Fe University of Art and Design we believe that every aspiring artist, filmmaker, writer, and performer deserves the best possible education. To help make private school more affordable for a wider range of potential students, we have cut costs across our programs. Effective January 14, 2013, SFUAD has:

  • Eliminate all course material fees—unlike most other art and design schools, we have decided to do away with our course material fees, potentially saving our students several thousand dollars per year. This also makes determining costs more predictable as they will no longer vary depending on which classes you take.
  • Lowered tuition prices on four key programs—to help make these programs available to more students, Graphic Design, Creative Writing, Digital Arts, and Arts Management tuition costs have been cut by almost 40% -- from $28,836 to $17,800 annually, before scholarships and financial aid.
  • Keeping Tuition Flat for our other programs —at a time when average tuition costs at other colleges are increasing by about 5% per year we will be holding ours steady for the Moving Image Arts, Studio Arts, Performing Arts, Contemporary Music, and Photography programs. In fact, we have increased our tuition only once in the past five years. Tuition for these programs will remain flat for the 2013-2014 academic year.

We are committed to making our degree programs available to talented students from all walks of life. Let us help you find a way to achieve your artistic vision and become a creative, problem-solving professional. Find out more about the variety of generous scholarships offered.
