Federal Perkins Loans
Federal Perkins Loan eligibility is based on exceptional financial need and availability of very limited funds . As available funds allow, a Perkins loan of up to $5500 will be offered to students with high remaining financial need as defined by the United States Department of Education after other Title IV eligibility has been evaluated. No fees are charged. Students must complete a promissory note and Perkins loan counseling. The current interest rate is 5% and loan repayment begins nine months after the student completes the program or drops below at least half-time enrollment status.
