Determine Eligibility
To be eligible for federal financial aid, you must meet the following requirements.

Citizen: Be a citizen of the United States or an eligible noncitizen

Selective Service: Be registered for the selective service, if required to do so

High School Diploma or GED: Have a high school diploma or GED, or have successfully completed an Ability to Benefit Test

Degree-Seeking: Be enrolled as a degree-seeking student or enrolled in an eligible certificate program

Not Owe Refund: Not owe a refund on any federal grant, be in default on a federal student loan, or have borrowed in excess of the loan limits under the Title IV programs at any institution

Academic Good Standing: Maintain good academic standing in your program and make satisfactory progress toward the degree sought

Enrollment: Be enrolled at least half-time for loans (6 credits per semester)
