Driscoll Fitness Center
Students, faculty, and staff can choose from a wide selection of personal fitness classes, all free. Sports activities and outdoor recreation programs are also available. The center is named for Rudy Driscoll, who served on the university's Board of Trustees and whose generosity helped build the facility. Features include:

  • Gym with indoor track
  • Weight room         
  • Multi-purpose cardio room       
  • Fitness classes, such as  Zumba, Yoga, Bollywood Dancing, Nia, Spin Cycling, Pilates, and Core Strength Conditioning       
  • Personal training (fee-based)       
  • "The Rock" climbing wall     
  • Outdoor tennis courts    
  • Squash/racquetball courts
  • Locker rooms
  • Outdoor recreational and athletic equipment rentals
  • Large-screen TV and free movies
  • Wii Fit  

 

Outdoor Recreation Program
The Outdoor Recreation Program provides a variety of free or low-cost outdoor recreational and educational programs. Day and weekend trips are scheduled four to six times per semester. Recent trips include skiing, hiking, rock climbing, backpacking, whitewater rafting, and camping.

Athletics
The Driscoll Fitness Center coordinates the intramural athletic program, which provides each student the opportunity to participate in enjoyable and competitive events throughout the school year. The program focuses on creating an environment that promotes sportsmanship and fun. Sports include volleyball, basketball, racquetball, indoor frisbee and soccer, based on student interest.
