2012 Accomplishments

Annie Lederman (’09) writes and hosts weekly video recaps of the show The Bachelor for The Daily, the newspaper delivered via iPad. Her work was featured in the article “The Roses! The Romance! The Roasts!” which appeared Feb. 12, 2012, in The New York Times.

Mary Beth Lindsey (’07) and Matt Puett (’09) starred as Emily and George in Thornton Wilder’s play Our Town at the Santa Fe Playhouse March 29 through April 15, 2012.

William Jackson Harper (’03) starred in the musical The Total Bent, part of the 2011–2012 Public Lab season at the Public Theater in New York City Feb. 24 through March 18, 2012. The musical, about a black gospel prodigy and a white music producer, is framed by divine inspiration and fantastical visions.

Rebecca Noon (’01) is a member of the theatre company Strange Attractor, which is based in Providence, R.I.; Juneau, Alaska; and Philadelphia.

2011 Accomplishments

Michelle McGregor (’11) was accepted into Yale University’s graduate acting program.

Harmony McGivney (’11) was nominated by the 2011 BroadwayWorld Connecticut Awards as Best Featured Actress in a Musical for her role in Cinderella Skeleton, the Musical. BroadwayWorld is a website devoted to theatre across the globe. She currently works in the box office at the Shubert Theatre in New Haven, Conn. Read the full announcement.

Julien Seredowych (’11) was accepted into the graduate acting program of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.

Benny Briseño (’08) performed the title role in Rancho Pancho at the National Hispanic Cultural Center in Albuquerque, N.M., in the summer of 2010. Currently a Los Angeles resident, he is also a member of the Long Beach Shakespeare Theatre Company, where he recently appeared as Juan Julian in Anna in the Tropics.

Lynn R. Camilo (’96) is the assistant stage producer for Love, the Cirque du Soleil show at the Mirage hotel in Las Vegas that celebrates the musical legacy of The Beatles.

Laura Fine Hawkes (’95) is the lead designer at DesignHawkes, a design studio she established in 2003 with her partner, Chris Hawkes, to create set designs for opera and theatre and to offer art direction for museum exhibits, events, concerts, and theme parks.

Eric Norris (‘95) is the moving light programmer for the current Broadway revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.

Melissa van der Schyff (’95) played the leading role of Blanche Barrow in the musical Bonnie and Clyde, which ran on Broadway in the fall. She has been part of the cast since the show’s La Jolla premiere in 2009.

David Anzuelo Martinez (’89), actor/fight director and playwright, is a member of LAByrinth Theater Company and is the Artist-in-Residence at INTAR Latino theatre in New York City. David has acted in a wide array of stage productions. His TV and film credits include Law & Order, The Sopranos, One Life to Live, Prime, Remember Me, and Man of the Century.

Denise Poirier (’88), best known for her voice work portraying the title character in the groundbreaking MTV animated series Aeon Flux, will appear as Verloona Ti in the audiocomic release of Starstruck, soon to be released in CD and MP3 format.

Sean Pratt (’88), who has more than 25 years of experience as a working actor, launched the company Sean Pratt Presents in 2006 to teach, motivate, and inspire actors on a variety of topics related to acting. He brings workshops to high schools, colleges, universities, and associations around the country.

William Salyers (’87) will appear as George Goldberg in the short film Raincheck Romance and as Al in the film In a Parallel Universe. He was also featured as the voice of the character Rigby in 36 episodes of the television series Regular Show during 2010 and 2011.

2010 Accomplishments

Liz McDermott ('06) was a wardrobe supervisor for the Arizona Theatre Company's 2008–2009 season.

David Stallings ('00) is the artistic director and resident playwright at Maieutic Theatre Works, New York.

Erik Neergaard ('95) is the art director, entertainment experiences, for BRC, where he was the creative lead on attractions including the WillisTower.

Ray Buktenica ('68) has acted in The Sopranos, NYPD Blue, and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
