Visual Arts
Visual arts at the Santa Fe University of Art and Design and in the surrounding area offer a vibrant palette for inspiration and put students in the heart of the action.
On campus, The Screen shows the independent and critically acclaimed films you don't ordinarily see in a 70,000-person town. You'll also find one of the most photographed buildings in Santa Fe on our campus: the Visual Arts Center.
Located directly behind the Arts Center is the Santa Fe Art Institute, which offers international artists an opportunity for residencies and hosts a variety of openings, readings, and other events.
Digging deeper into the region's history, the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum downtown showcases the work of its namesake and like-minded artists across nine galleries. Hopi carvings, Navajo textiles, and more are on display at the Santa Fe Indian Market. Both a marketplace and an organization which nurtures the careers of promising Native American artists.
Other Santa Fe treasures include the Center for Contemporary Arts and Site Santa Fe. At these institutions you can experience cutting-edge exhibitions, workshops, festivals, and more.
